For two and a half months during the Summer of 1964 outside the small town of Manitowish Waters,
in the north woods of upper Wisconsin, at the resort that was then called Deer Park Lodge, I played
in a band called the Dave-Bari Combo. Seven nights a week we accompanied the performances of a duo
named "David and Amorah" (pictured below) who sang, danced, told jokes, and enacted skits in colorful costumes.
(That David is not me, David Savage. I don't know the last names of David or Amorah).
The links below are to recordings from three of the shows, in .mp3 format. I and several of the band members, with whom I am still in contact, would like to get in touch with David and Amorah. They were based in Miami Beach, Florida. If you know how to locate them, or their last names or any other leads, like local newspaper archives or radio/TV stations that might have archives of entertainment events during 1964, we would appreciate hearing from you.
